Youth Make A Difference by Volunteering!

Applications for The Incredible Exchange will be available beginning Friday, March 25 for summer 2011 participation. The Incredible Exchange, a program of the St. Louis County Extension Office, is designed for youth ages 12-15 to volunteer in their community in exchange for an activity of their choice, such as a ski or golf pass, dance, music or horseback riding lessons. Participants volunteer at “exchange sites” such as community centers, nursing homes, and hospitals. Upon completion of the program (25-50 volunteer hours), participants receive an Exchange Credit Certificate, redeemable for their chosen activity, as well as the valuable skills learned through their volunteer experience.

YOUTH REQUIREMENTS:  AGES 12 - 15 (on April 15 deadline date)
MUST APPLY FOR PROGRAM
MUST LIVE IN SOUTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  April 15, 2011.

This summer’s Incredible Exchange volunteer session will run from June 2011 - August 2011.

Application information has been mailed to all area schools. Youth can also obtain an application beginning Friday, March 25 by calling the St. Louis County Extension Office at 218-733-2876, or by printing an application from the county’s web site:  www.theincredibleexchange.org
