St. Louis County Veterans Service Office Hosts Town Hall Meetings

The St. Louis County Veterans Service Office will again host two (2) Town Hall Meetings.  This is the third year in a row the office has hosted these meetings designed to inform and educate veterans and their families about how their benefits programs work. The first meeting will be held on Thursday, April 22nd, 4:00 p.m. at Hibbing VFW Post 8510 (off of Hwy 169).  The second meeting is scheduled for Friday, April 23rd, 10:00 a.m. in Duluth at American Legion Post 71 (5814 Grand Avenue, under the airplane).

County Veterans Service Officer, Rich Dumancas described the gatherings, “as a time where the veteran and family members can ask their questions directly to the leadership of such organizations as the St. Louis County Veterans Service Office, the Veterans Administration (VA) Regional Office, VA Medical Center, Twin Ports VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, Duluth Vet Center, the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans, Silver Bay Nursing Home, Lutheran Social Services, and Telephone Equipment Distribution Program. These groups, and many others, will be present to explain the exact nature of the benefits provided to our area veterans, and how these programs can improve the lives of veterans and their families.”
