St. Louis County Sponsors Veterans’ Town Hall Meetings
The St. Louis County Veterans Service Office will be sponsoring two Veteran’s Town Hall Meetings on Friday April 24th in Hibbing, MN and Saturday April 25th in Duluth. The meetings will provide a welcoming environment where area veterans can find answers to questions they may have about the benefits they are eligible to receive as a result of serving their country in both wartime and peacetime. The Hibbing meeting will be held at VFW Post 8510, located off Hwy 169 at 704 W. 41st Street, beginning with a light supper of soup and sandwiches at The Town Hall Meeting will start at The Duluth meeting is scheduled the following day at the Dry Dock Restaurant, 2820 Midway Road beginning at with soup and sandwiches served at
Many veterans have applied for Veterans Administration (VA) benefits but still have questions about eligibility, specific State of Minnesota benefits, readjustment services after combat duty, veterans nursing home care, and resources available for members of the National Guard and Reserve. The Town Hall Meetings are open to all veterans and their families. Veterans service providers from the Minnesota Department Affairs, the VA Regional Office, the VA Medical Center, the Silver Bay Nursing Home, the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans, the Duluth Vet Center, the Twin Ports VA Clinic and the St. Louis County Veterans Service Office will be available to share program information and answer questions.
