The St. Louis County Veterans Service Office and the 148th Fighter Wing Family Readiness Group are hosting a family fun and information day called "Coping With Deployment: Before, During and After” on Sunday, June 22, 2008. The event will be held from 12:00 Noon to 4:00PM at the St. Louis County Heritage & Arts Center, The Depot, in Duluth, MN.

This free event is for all veterans and current military members and their spouses, children, and parents who will experience, or have experienced, life with military deployments. The day will include informational booths and presentations from several military and civilian organizations providing assistance to individuals and families coping with deployment. In today's world there are so many benefits available to military personnel, however many people are missing out on them and struggling through these times of repeated deployments.

Free activities include a pizza lunch, Depot admission, moonwalk, hockey shoot, scavenger hunt, trolley rides, magic show and much more. Discounted train ride tickets are also available for the 3:00PM departure from the Depot station. Tickets are $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Please reserve a train ride by June 20th by calling the 148th Fighter Wing Family Assistance Center at 218-723-4852.  For more information, click here.
