Leonard Youngman Receives Volunteer Recognition Award
St. Louis County presented a Volunteer Recognition Award to Leonard Youngman of Duluth, on Tuesday, April 23, 2007 at 9:30 AM at the Fayal Town Hall as part of its regular St. Louis County Board meeting. Sixth District Commissioner Keith Nelson presented the St. Louis County Volunteer Recognition Award to Mr. Youngman.
Leonard Youngman has been a volunteer at the Virginia Regional Medical Center since 1995. He has logged in over 7,000 hours of volunteer time between the convalescent home and as a greeter in the hospital. He also helps serve Mass at the hospital on Tuesdays. His volunteer coordinator said he is just a joy to work with and wished she could clone Leonard.
Mr. Youngman is still young at heart, and giving back to his community, despite having just celebrated his 96 birthday!
