Mention "flooding" around here and people understandably get a bit skittish. We're still rebuilding from Mother Nature's $36 million punch last June, and now - following the snowiest month ever for this region and a weekend of 60+ degree temperatures during which most of that snow melted - we're seeing new flooding. Five roads are closed and eight others have posted warnings due to water on the roads.

Yet it's important to remember three simple messages.
