Following the arrest of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, much debate has focused on why investigators did not read him his Miranda rights prior to questioning him. At the request of the Duluth News Tribune, St. Louis County Attorney Mark Rubin wrote the following guest editorial, which was published Sunday, April 28.

Following last June's flood, the St. Louis County Public Works Department seemingly worked miracles, not to mention very long hours (3,500 hours overtime in just the first four days following the flood) repairing, inspecting and re-opening many miles of roads and bridges.

That work continues this season with the reconstruction of Haines Road, along with the repairs of numerous culverts. And now, ten months later, a new challenge has surfaced. Literally.

Each County Board meeting in 2013 begins with a short presentation about some aspect of history through the people and places of St. Louis County. This week, Tom Berrigan of the Iron Range Veterans Memorial Committee talked about the 14-year effort to fund raise for, create and bring this amazing sculpture to Virginia.
