Mark your calendars, gather your family and friends, and plan to attend this must see FREE event! The Third Annual Community Wellness Day event will be held at the University of Minnesota - Duluth's Romano Gym and will be bigger and better than ever. We'll be featuring many local wellness vendors providing top notch services and resources, as well as many samples and giveaways. Other highlights include keynote speaker Joel Salatin, grass farmer from Swopes, Virginia, who was featured in the documentary Fresh the Movie, Michael Pollan's New York Times best selling novel, "The Omnivores Dilemma, and the Academy Award nominated best selling independent documentary of all time "Food, Inc.".
There will also be plenty of family fun including games such as sumo wrestling (brought back by popular demand), the moonwalk bouncing house, UMD's climbing wall and much more. UMD student athletes and Champ the Bulldog will also be present to sign autographs, give tips and play games with the kids.
