Report of possible plane crash determined to be unfounded.

A concerned citizen reported what was thought to be a plane crash in the Canyon area. Thankfully, following an extensive search and checks with all local airports, no plane was found, nor has any been reported missing.

Woman walking on tracks dies after being struck by train

Deputies are investigating the incident, which happened near the interesection of Highways 7 and 8 in Culver Township. The woman is believed to be a 44-year-old from Saginaw.

The man had been snowmobiling with a group on the Vermilion River when he struck a snow covered rock and was thrown. He was airlifted to the hospital though his injuries are considered non life threatening.

The man was injured when he was thrown from his snowmobile and then struck by an oncoming snowmobile. The accident happened on the Bearskin Snowmobile Trail. His injuries are considered non life threatening.

The young man was traveling in a ditch along Highway 5 when one of the skis on his snowmobile caught on some old barbed wire fencing. His sled overturned and he was thrown from the vehicle. His injuries are considered non life threatening.
