The Septic Sub-Committee provides recommendations on septic permitting issues to the County Board and its Environment and Natural Resources Committee and is staffed by the St. Louis County Environmental Services Department.
The Septic Subcommittee is made up of four (4) members of the Board of Commissioners, geographically representative of the county. The Solid Waste Subcommittee reviews technical information provided by the Environmental Services Department and makes recommendations to the County Board on resolutions related to solid waste management policies, planning and services. The Septic Subcommittee meetings selects its own chair a conducts its own meetings. Staff support is provided by the Environmental Services Department On-Site Waste Water Division. Meetings are open to the public.
