The St. Louis County Purchasing Division has institued the DemandStar system to provide current information to potential contractors, consultants, and other types of vendors, as well as the general public. The system allows you to receive the information quickly, at your convenience, whenever and wherever you choose, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All you need is an internet connection. Although the Purchasing Division office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, the DemandStar system is never closed and you can contact DemandStar by Onvia, Inc. on the internet.

Informal Bid Opportunites
St. Louis County currently posts only formal bid opportunities. Future plans include adding informal bids which will open up a new world of opportunity for small and large suppliers alike. After this program has been implemented, registered members will be albe to receive bids. |
St. Louis welcomes the opportunity to do business with interested merchants in the community. The County's Purchasing Division is interested in fostering participation by all qualified business persons offering commodities and services that may be used by the County. The Purchasing Division has the responsiblity to make the most economical acquisition of quality materials an services that will assure efficient operation of County Government.

The St. Louis County Purchasing Division has contracted with DemandStar by Onvia, Inc. for the maintenance of an automated vendor list. Vendors who have registered with DemandStar by Onvia, Inc. are notified by e-mail or fax whenever a formal bid or request for quotes (for the commodities or services they have registered) has been issued.
