St Louis County - The 4-H Incredible Exchange

The 4-H Incredible Exchange is a program designed for youth ages 13-15 to volunteer in the community in exchange for a recreational or cultural activity.  Participants volunteer at local non-profit organizations such as day camps, community centers, nursing homes, and local tourist attractions.  Upon completion of the program (25-50 hours), the participant receives an Exchange Certificate redeemable for an activity of their choice, as well as the skills learned and relationships built through their volunteering experience.  For more information visit the University of Minnesota 4-H Incredible Exchange page here or contact Katie Olean at 218-733-2876 or kolean@umn.edu.

St. Louis County - Iron Range Youth in Action

Iron Range Youth in Action (IRYA) is a youth organization in Northern Minnesota administered by the St. Louis County Extension Office in Virginia. This program encourages youth of high school age to participate in service learning and community projects. IRYA proects and activities were designed to develop the kind of character responsibility and public service values leading to civic engagement for a lifetime.
